We would love to receive your damaged and pre-loved adult clothing so that we can re-jig them into beautiful, bespoke children’s outfits. In return we will make a £1 donation to a local charity for each garment sold or to a charity of your choice if you prefer.
Perhaps you have a particular loved old garment that you can't bear to throw out, could we rejig into something new for a special little someone for you?
The kind of clothes we can re-use are any kind of garments that have a natural fibre content, eg cotton, linen, wool and any mixture with the majority of these fibres in. Ideal garments would be mens and womens jumpers, cotton shirts and skirts, cord trousers and skirts, any style of dress and any tweed garments. We also use a lot of jersey T-shirts, perfect for little dress linings and all old denim or cord jeans. We have recently been given some beautiful cotton aprons from an old lady that will make gorgeous little girls summer skirts. We also use pure cotton or linen, white bedlinen. Fabulous for summer dresses!
Obviously we wash all the clothes we get but would prefer if they are reasonably clean before we get them.
It doesn’t matter if the clothes have holes in or are very worn in places. That is perfect for us! We will use what we can. It will save it being thrown out for rubbish.
If any of the garments are not quite suitable for us then we will forward them on to St Michael’s Hospice shop where they can sell them or to another suitable charity of our choice.
