Ethics & Charity

Our Charities Work

Now for the good bit, for every garment that Re-jigged makes and sells we donate money back to a good cause, whether it is a charity shop that has donated the clothing or a local school who collected unwanted items for Re-jigged.

St Michael’s Hospice

During 2009, St Michael’s Hospice reached the milestone of a quarter of a century serving the population of Herefordshire and the surrounding counties; caring for adults who have a progressive life-limiting illness and supporting their families, friends and carers. In this year St Michael’s began working in conjunction with Re-jigged Ltd by supplying unsold items of clothing from its 15 charity shops. Nothing is thrown away, clothes are recycled, and through Re-jigged the Hospice receives £1 for every newly created garment sold.

Re-jigged Ltd is not just an idyllic rural business, it is a serious social enterprise with strong ethics of recycling and helping to educate people about re-using other peoples waste to create beautiful garments to be treasured, whilst in turn re-investing profits back into the community.

Re-jigged has joined forces with a fantastic organisation called EnviroAbility. The workforce at EnviroAbility are helping Re-jigged to source unwanted clothing, sort the good from the bad, arrange into fabrics and colours and cut the old clothing up.
